MACON, GA. – Appalachian State softball lost its first two road games to Mercer (0-8) and Central Michigan (12-6) Friday night in the Mercer Invitational.
Game One
In their season opener, the Mountaineers fell to the Mercer Bears in six innings. Kenzie Longanecker pitched 4.1 innings, allowing 11 hits and 6 runs. Alisha Josey and Megan Walker had one hit apiece.
In the top of the third inning, Heather Josey singled up the middle. Megan Walker and Jenny Dodd each drew a walk but the Mountaineer offense did not clear any bases.
