CHICAGO - Turnovers, early foul trouble, and a hot-shooting DePaul squad proved to be too much for Appalachian State women's basketball in a 99-58 setback Friday evening on the first day of the Maggie Dixon Classic at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
App State will play Gardner-Webb on Saturday in the third-place game at 7 p.m. (ET). The hosts and UAB will decide the championship later at 9 p.m. (ET).
Madi Story and Q Murray both scored a team-high 11 points while Story added six boards and two assists. Murray drained two 3-pointers for a team best.
