NEW ORLEANS - After a stellar week in conference action, Appalachian State University women's tennis sophomore Teodora Sevo was named the Sun Belt's Women's Tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
Sevo is the second player for App in as many weeks to receive a weekly conference award, as Jeannez Daniel was honored last week. Appalachian State is the first team this season to have back-to-back award winners.
The sophomore went undefeated in singles (2-0) and doubles (2-0), playing a pivotal part in the Mountaineers' 2-0 finish in league action against South Alabama and Troy.
