MXC Takes Fourth at SBC Championships

DOTHAN, ALA. – Appalachian State University men’s cross country finished fourth with 97 teams points at the 2016 Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon. UT Arlington grabbed their second-consecutive championship with 45 team points, followed by UL Lafayette in second (66 points) and Texas State in third (88 points).

“I am certainly disappointed that we did not win,” said head coach Michael Curcio. “The men knew we could be forth to first. Lafayette and Texas State really put a good race together. We rallied through the middle portion of the woods and guys tried to fight back to second, but it wasn’t meant to be.
