BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University men’s soccer opens up the First Round of the 2016 Sun Belt Championship tournament this week with rival Hartwick on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. ET.
The fifth-seeded Mountaineers will be “hosted” by the No. 4 Hawks once more in the postseason after the two teams battled last year in the semifinal round. Last season, App State advanced to the semifinals by defeating NJIT in the First Round, 2-1, as Appalachian hosted the tournament.
Leading the Black and Gold in points and goals heading into the First Round is senior Stephen Chapman.
