NORFOLK, Va. – With one out in the top of the tenth inning, Hunter Wilder lined the first pitch of his at-bat over the wall in right field to propel the Mountaineers to a 4-3 win over Old Dominion Saturday at Bud Metheny Ballpark.
The victory is App State's 30th win of the year, marking back-to-back seasons in which the Mountaineers have reached the 30-win plateau for the first time since the 2012 and 2013 campaigns.
For the second weekend in a row, an exceptional start from Dante Chirico that was the catalyst in the win.
