BOONE, N.C. – The App State women's basketball team defeated Georgia State, 93-67, on Saturday during its Play4Kay Pink Day game. The Mountaineers have improved to 14-12 (7-7 SBC) on the season. App State is also 9-2 at the Holmes Convocation Center.
Senior Faith Alston led the Mountaineers with 24 points and a career-high 11 assists, recording her third double-double of the 2023-24 campaign. Alston marked her 17th game as the Mountaineers' top scorer as well as her 24th of 26 games scoring double-figures. Fifth-year senior Taylor Lewis pulled down a team-high seven rebounds, recording her fourth game as the Mountaineers' top rebounder.
