BLACKSBURG, Va. - The App State women's track and field team rounded out the first day of competition at Virginia Tech's Doc Hale Invitational with six top-10 finishes on Friday.
Sophomore Kendall Johnson advanced to the women's 60-meter finals after finishing fifth in the prelims with a personal best of 7.52, which moved her to fourth in the App State all-time list. She finished eighth in the final with a time of 7.57.
Senior Karsyn Kane stopped the clock at 10:10.17 for a personal best and sixth-place finish in the women's 3,000 meters.
