BOONE, N.C. - App State women's soccer earned its first Sun Belt win, defeating Georgia Southern 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.
Appalachian improves to 4-5-2 on the season and .500 in the Sun Belt at 1-1-1, while Georgia Southern is 4-5-1 and is handed its first loss in league action (1-1-1 SBC). App
State stays undefeated at home with a 4-0-2 mark.
"To get that first win in the Sun Belt is huge," head coach Sarah Strickland said. "It was a great team performance, we went deep into our bench and got a lot great minutes from the girls.
