MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – The Appalachian State Women's Golf team finished play at the two-day Oyster Shuck Match Play where they finished fourth out of eight teams.
The first day included 36-holes where the Mountaineers won their first match against North Carolina A&T, four matches to one, led by seniors Joliana Elias' 6&5 victory and Patricia Thompson's 5&4 win, propelling them forward in the winner's bracket.
"Our spirits were high, and it was our first step towards accomplishing our goal," said head coach Heather Brown. "But we knew each match would be more and more competitive.
