DAVIDSON, N.C. - Appalachian State University men’s tennis (12-6) had a great start taking the doubles point, but it wasn’t enough in a 6-1 setback to Davidson (11-8) in the Knobloch Tennis Center.
The Mountaineers racked up two of three doubles matches for the doubles point but fell in all six singles matches, keying the Wildcats to the triumph.
Oliver Casey and Jack Maddocks downed Alex Howard and Evan Watkins, 6-3, for their sixth-straight doubles win as the No. 2 pairing. Zach Bost and Trey Morris was toppled by Zach Zapatero and Artem Khrapko, 6-3.
