NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The App State women's basketball team fell short to Vanderbilt on the road on Sunday, 94-40.
"Obviously today was a tough matchup for our team," said head coach Alaura Sharp. "We had a really slow start in the first quarter. We regrouped and came out of half with some fight and won the third quarter. That's definitely a positive we will take away from this. Handling pressure continues to be a concern for our team. We are looking forward to having some time to practice and address this issue."
Senior Asjah Inniss led the Mountaineers, netting 11 points and knocking down all three of the Black and Gold's treys on the afternoon.
