BLACKSBURG, Va. – The App State women's track and field team totaled 19 top-20 finishes to close out the Virginia Tech Doc Hale Meet on Saturday.
"I'm very happy with the women's team this weekend," said director of track & field/cross country Damion McLean. "They showed a lot of grit and competitive edge that we are going to need in a few weeks. Competing against some of the best brings it out of you."
App State registered a third-place finish in the women's 4x400-meter relay after the quartet of freshmen Nicole Wells, Jayla Adams, Sierra Smith, and sophomore Daye Talley clocked a time of 3:47.
