BOONE, N.C. – The App State women's basketball team defeated the College of Charleston, 77-73, in the Holmes Convocation Center in one of two home battles the Mountaineers have during the month of December. Tuesday's victory was sprinkled with career and season highs for multiple Mountaineers ahead of a three-game road-stretch.
Junior Emily Carver and senior Faith Alston led the charge for the Mountaineers, combining for 48 of App State's 77 points, which included five of the Black and Gold's seven treys. Carver netted a new career-high, scoring 28 points on the evening, while Alston came within four of her career-high, netting 20 points.
