BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University women’s tennis concluded the fall slate this weekend at the ITA Carolina Regionals in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Rebecca Morse would highlight the Mountaineers’ weekend with a win in the singles consolation round over USC Upstate’s Filippa Ericson in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0. The sophomore student-athlete fought hard in round two against NC State’s Adriana Reami but fell 6-0, 7-6 (5).
For Morse, it was her first ITA Regionals she competed in after arriving to campus after the fall semester last season.
Teaming up for doubles action was the tandem of Megan Mullen and Heidi Swope, who suffered a tough setback to Hannah Fransisco/Kylee Shipley (UNC Wilmington), 8-6.
