GREENVILLE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's tennis (1-5) suffered a 4-0 setback to a formidable East Carolina (5-1) team inside the ECU Tennis Facility.
The Mountaineers came in facing a tough Pirate team that has won 25 of its last 31 matches at home. Appalachian fell in the doubles portion before ECU claimed three matches in singles.
App State's Zion Heaven and Afonso Viana teamed up on Court No. 1 but was edged by Ronny Georgi and Wisse Jonker, 6-3. Alex Brea and Milo Bargeron suffered a 6-0 decision to Diogo Marques and Austin Allen, 6-0.
