BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's tennis (4-14) collected the doubles point against UNCG (6-10), but it wasn't enough in a 4-2 setback on Tuesday afternoon at the Deer Valley Racquet Club.
App State got off to a strong start in the early goings of the contest with Alex Brea and Campbell Stone netting their team-high sixth doubles triumph of the season with a 6-2 win over Eric Whisnant/Roger Rogowski.
After the visitors tied up the doubles portion of the contest on Court No. 1, Zion Heaven and Ben Webster gave the Black and Gold a 1-0 advantage following their 6-4 win against Hugh Knapp/Jack Burkill.
