GREENVILLE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's tennis (3-2) fell to a tough Richmond team (6-2) on Saturday at the River Birch Tennis Complex in Greenville, N.C.
Jack Maddocks was the lone player who picked up the point for the Mountaineers in singles play as the No. 2 in the lineup. Maddocks toppled Alexandre Felisa, 7-5, 6-3 to improve to 4-1 this season in singles competiton.
App fell in the two doubles matches and three singles matches while three total games went unfinished.
The Mountaineers couldn't get anything going against the Spiders, who upended East Carolina the day before to give the Pirates their first loss of the season.
