BOONE, N.C. – The Appalachian State men's soccer team fell to Coastal Carolina, 4-2, on a rainy Saturday in Boone. With the win, Coastal moves to 5-6-2 and 1-1-0 in the Sun Belt. Appalachian falls to 9-3-1, 2-1-0 in conference play.
The first half was the downfall for the Mountaineers, conceding all four goals in the 45 minutes to trail 4-0 going into the break. Chanticleer goals were scored by Danny Cabrera, Tsiki Ntsabeleng (2), and Timm Morten.
The Mountaineers came out fighting in the second half, scoring two quick goals just a minute apart in the 48th and 49th minute.
