The Mountaineers took a 2-0 setback Friday night in their 2019 home opener against St. John's. The Red Storm moves to 1-0 on the young season, while App State falls to 0-1.
St. John's was able to take the lead in the 20th minute after Matt Forster finished a free kick from about thirty yards out, into the upper right hand corner. From there, the Johnnies were able to keep a clean slate the remainder of the half.
