HARTWELL, Ga. - App State men's golf opened the 2020 fall slate with a top-three team finish at the J.T. Poston Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
The effort marked the fifth top-three team finish for the Mountaineers in a span of just two seasons.
Although Chattanooga won both the team and individual titles, a total of five App State golfers placed top 15 or better on the player leaderboard. The Black and Gold also tallied the most birdies for the event, 65, and accumulated the second-most pars, 187, among all participating universities.
To open the invitational, App State posted a team round of 278, 6-under-par.
