HAMPTON, Ga. -- For the second time in the past three seasons, Appalachian State men's cross country captured the Sun Belt team championship on Saturday morning.
App State saw five runners earn All-Sun Belt honors, six finish in the top-20 and all seven who competed place in the top-35. In all, the Mountaineers totaled 48 points, 34 points ahead of Arkansas State, who finished second with 82 points. Coastal Carolina was third with 83 points.
"I am ecstatic about our performance today," said head coach Michael Curcio. "We were able to exercise some demons on this course.
