True Appalachian State University sports fans should clear their calendars on Friday, June 23 for the inaugural “Legends Gala” hosted by ASU athletics. The event, which will be held at the stunning Camp Yonahnoka in Linville, will offer attendees a chance to show their support for the university’s athletics.
The gala will feature legendary college football coach Mack Brown along with a number of other longtime sports elites with ties to the High Country. Brown, who was a running back for Vanderbilt and Florida State during his college years, coached football at ASU for the school’s 1983 season.
