BOONE, N.C. –– Appalachian State University men’s track and field standout runner Ryan Hastings claimed his second Sun Belt Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office on Friday.
Hastings turned in dominant performances last week at the Charlotte Invitational with wins in the 400-meter dash and 800-meter run, as well as, a member of the first-place 4x400-meter relay team.
The junior from Matthews, N.C. posted a personal-best in the 400-meters with a time of 47.97, which is also tops in the Sun Belt this season. Hastings won the fast section of the 800-meter run with a time of 1:50.
