ATLANTA, Ga. – The App State men's and women's track and field team rounded out competition at the Georgia Tech Invitational with a shiny new men's pole vault record. The Mountaineers accumulated 64 top-25 finishes and also set a new men's 5,000-meter school record, in addition to the new men's pole vault record, between the Georgia Tech Invitational and Wake Forest Invitational.
Freshman set the App State record in the men's pole vault with a personal best clearance of 5.33m (17' 5.75"). His mark surpassed the previous record of 5.32m (17' 5.25"), which was set in 1998 by Todd Poremba.
