BOONE, N.C. — In the 60th annual Carolinas-Virginias Team Matches, Appalachian State University women’s golfers Hannah Craver (Winston-Salem, N.C./Reagan), Emily Stinson (Charlotte, N.C./Ardrey Kell) and Savanna Wood (Boone, N.C./Watauga) helped the Carolinas team to its seventh-straight victory on Wednesday.
Held on the River Course at River Landing Golf Club in Wallace, N.C., the team match is put on by the Carolinas, Virginia and West Virginia Golf Associations and pits the best golfers from the four states against each other. Selection to the respective teams is by invitation only and qualification is based on Carolina’s Women’s and Senior Women’s player rankings, finish and participation in various events and captain’s picks.
