Football Alumni Luncheon Held in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — With new head coach Eli Drinkwitz addressing the large crowd, Appalachian State hosted a football alumni luncheon Friday at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro.

More than 100 people attended the luncheon, which also included remarks from Director of Athletics Doug Gillin and 1971 graduate Perry Hudspeth of the Former Athletes Association.

Drinkwitz shared his vision for leadership, discussed the Mountaineers' recently completed recruiting class and fielded questions from members of the audience, many of whom competed for the Black and Gold on Saturdays in Kidd Brewer Stadium.

Drinkwitz thanked the football alums for helping establish the foundation for App State's program and playing a huge part in its success.
