BOONE, N.C. – The App State offense batted around in the fourth inning, scoring five times, helping the Mountaineers pull away for an 11-3 victory over High Point in front of 1,296 fans, the second-largest crowd in Smith Stadium history.
Leading 4-3 in the fourth inning, App State (18-8, 5-4) erupted with one away. Austin St. Laurent singled to left field for his third hit of the ballgame, and Banks Tolley followed with a double up the left-center alleyway to score St. Laurent all the way from first base.
