TOWSON, Md. – App State Field Hockey won their first game of the season against Towson on Sunday at the Towson University Field Hockey Complex. The score was 3-1.
Sophomore forward Peyton Ritchey scored her first goal of the season in the third quarter to tie the game at 1 point a piece after a scoreless first half for the Mountaineers.
Within the next three minutes, freshman midfielder Sterre Molkenboer scored two more goals to complete a 3-0 quarter for the Mountaineers after trailing in the first half. Her second goal was assisted by junior midfielder Pauline Mangold.
