BOONE, N.C. — With App State players in the Coastal Plain League and Southern Collegiate Baseball League, Andrew Terrell's success as a two-way talent is one highlight for the Mountaineers on the summer circuit.
Recruited to App State out of Franklin, N.C., as a two-way player, Terrell didn't pitch in his first two seasons for the Mountaineers. This summer, for the Piedmont Pride of the SCBL, he is 1-0 with a 2.85 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 28.1 innings.
He has started in three of his six appearances, highlighted by six shutout innings with six strikeouts and only two hits allowed on July 13.
