BOONE, N.C. – With field conditions and weather forecasts, Appalachian State softball will head down the mountain to Boiling Springs, N.C. for a midweek doubleheader against Gardner-Webb on Wednesday, April 25. Game one will begin at 5 p.m. with game two to follow at 7 p.m.
The Mountaineers are 8-9 all-time against the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs. The last matchup was in 2011 when the Mountaineers took home the 10-0 win.
App State is coming off of a 2-0 shutout against Sun Belt opponent South Alabama. Kenzie Longanecker claimed the win on the road to improve the Mountaineers to a 15-29 overall record with a 3-15 Sun Belt record.
