Cox, Gilchrist set for All-Star Games on Saturday

BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State’s all-time leading rusher Marcus Cox (Dacula, Ga.) and All-Sun Belt linebacker Kennan Gilchrist (Abbeville, S.C.) will appear in all-star games on Saturday, both on National TV. Cox will play in the 92nd East-West Shrine Game (NFL Network) on Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. in St. Petersburg, Fla. at Tropicana Field, while Gilchrist will play in the 2016 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl (FS1) at 4:15 p.m. at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

Cox recently capped one of the great careers in Appalachian State history, becoming the Mountaineers’ career rushing leader, surpassing 5,000 yards for his career, and reaching 1,000 yards for his fourth consecutive season, all over the Mountaineers’ final four games.
