CLEVELAND, Ohio – Fifth-year goalkeeper Addie Clark has been named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time in her career after compiling eight saves against Ball State last Friday and 12 against the No. 8 Louisville Cardinals Sunday. Her 12 saves against the Cardinals fell one short of her career high.
"We are so proud of Addie and all of her efforts this past weekend," head coach Emily Dinsmore said. "This is not only an honor for her but our entire defensive unit's effort."
Playing an impressive 140 minutes between the posts over the two games, Clark anchored a Mountaineer defense that held a dangerous Ball State offense scoreless on Friday before limiting the Cardinals to just one goal on Sunday in a game that went to a shootout following two scoreless overtime periods.
