Caldwell-native and San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner will start against the New York Mets in the National League wild-card game tonight at Citi Field in New York City.
It’s October, so you have to assume Bumgarner will rise to the occasion as he did in 2010, 2012 and 2014, where he led the Giants to three World Series championships. His ERA in the World Series is a ridiculous 0.25 ERA.
Bumgarner has been so good in the post-season during his career that he’s already an October legend – and he’s just as good on the road as he is at home, if not better.
