BOONE, N.C. — App State newcomer Chase Brice has been named to the preseason watch list for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
The award is presented annually by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Selection Committee to the top senior and upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class. Candidates are chosen based on player performance on and off the field.
Named the Sun Belt's preseason newcomer of the year by Lindy's, Brice played previously at Clemson and Duke. He has already played in 36 FBS games, taken more than 1,100 snaps and thrown for nearly 3,200 yards entering his first season with the Mountaineers.
