GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sophomore starting pitcher Tyler Tuthill earned his first win of the season in a 5-1 triumph at UNCG on Friday.
Tuthill, freshman Noah Hall and senior Andrew Papp's performances on the mound helped snap UNCG's six-game winning streak, limiting the Spartans to just one run and six hits in the victory.
"Anytime you win on Friday night it's a huge shot in the arm," head coach Kermit Smith said. "You go out and face the other team's best and chip away enough to get the win.
