CHARLESTON, S.C. – App State used a six spot in the seventh inning to record an 8-2 victory at Charleston Southern on Friday night.
The Mountaineers (6-6) recorded six runs with two outs in the seventh inning to turn a 2-2 tie into a commanding 8-2 lead. App State recorded only one hit in the frame, reaching base nine times behind four walks, three hit by pitches, an error and a single.
After junior Jack Lipson drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 3-2, sophomore Andrew Terrell notched a two-out single to extend App State's lead to 5-2.
