BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State's baseball series against Marshall scheduled for March 2-4 has been moved from Huntington, W.Va., to Boone.
With a Friday afternoon first pitch of 3 p.m., the March 2 game at Smith Stadium will now be the Mountaineers' home opener. The Saturday and Sunday games against the Thundering Herd will have 1 p.m. start times.
After opening the season with February road series against UNCG and UNCW, as well as a Feb. 28 road game against Western Carolina, the home series against Marshall will conclude two days before the March 6 game against South Carolina at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte.
