BOONE, N.C. — Week 4 of the NFL season included another head-to-head matchup involving a pair of Mountaineers.
Rookie linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither had a hand in a sack for the first time and was part of an NFL win for the first time as the Cincinnati Bengals posted a 33-25 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars' active roster included App State alum and fifth-year safety Doug Middleton, who was signed earlier this month and promoted from the practice squad before the game against the Bengals.
Davis-Gaither and Carl Lawson split of sack of Gardner Minshew on a third-and-3 play in the third quarter.
