Apps Remain Undefeated in Holy City Showdown

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Appalachian State Softball (7-3) extended its winning streak on Saturday to six straight games, making their weekend record 4-0 going into their final game on Sunday. App State defeated Radford 2-0 and went on to defeat Power Five opponent Iowa State 2-1.

The Apps have not beaten a Power Five opponent since 2014 when they beat North Carolina 4-3. Timely hitting, key defensive plays and solid pitching in the circle allowed the Mountaineers to sweep day two of the Holy City Showdown.
