WALLACE, N.C. – Appalachian State held in the eighth spot with a 315 in the final round to close out the River Landing Classic on Friday in Wallace, N.C.
The Apps (+59) finished ahead of Morehead State, Richmond, and Youngstown State in their first full event of the spring.
Penn State (+14) rallied from a two-stroke deficit to start the day to win the event. The Nittany Lions were 4-over for the day to finish seven in front of East Tennessee State (+21). East Carolina was third (+23). ETSU’s Hee Ying Loy held on for a five stroke win and was the only player under par for the event.
