WALLACE, N.C. – Appalachian State shaved 12 strokes off its morning round with a 298 (+10) in the afternoon to climb three spots to eighth after two rounds on Thursday at the River Landing Classic, hosted by UNC Wilmington and East Carolina.
App State (+32) leads Richmond, Morehead State, and Youngstown State after the opening day. East Tennessee State (+8) leads by two over Penn State (+10) and is four ahead of East Carolina (+12). ETSU’s Hee Ying Loy is 6-under and leads the field by five strokes.
