BRADENTON, Fla. - Making a national postseason tournament appearance for the second straight year, App State Tennis is the No. 5 seed in this year's UTR NIT Championship. The Mountaineers, who are 15-10 after reaching the Sun Belt Tournament final, will face No. 4 seed Liberty in the first round on Monday in Bradenton, Fla, with match slated for a 11:30 a.m. start. This is the second time in program history that App State has made back-to-back postseason appearances.
App State's appearance in the NIT comes days after the Mountaineers finished their memorable Sun Belt Tournament run, becoming the lowest-seeded team to make the championship match since 2019.
