CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The App State tennis team earned a dominant 5-2 victory over Queens on Friday, improving their record to 4-2 on the season.
What Happened
The Mountaineers got off to a strong start, taking a 1-0 lead in doubles after Queens (0-6) was unable to play a third team. The pair of and wasted no time, sweeping their match 6-0 to secure the doubles point for App State.
With Queens missing a sixth singles player, the Mountaineers extended their lead to 2-0 before singles play even began.
In singles, and Manyube delivered impressive performances, each winning with ease and pushing the Mountaineers past the four-point threshold needed for the victory.
