BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Appalachian State University softball dominated Day One of the Fairfield Inn and Suites Camel Stampede in Buies Creek, N.C. on Friday shutting out Norfolk State 10-0 in five innings and downing Campbell 5-2 thanks to a four-run seventh inning.
“I am really proud of our guys, we grew a lot today,” said head coach Janice Savage. “Our freshman showed up and played really well, and our pitchers threw really well. Defensively, we made a couple of mistakes, but overall we did what we needed to do and came out with two Ws.
