BURLINGTON, N.C. - The Appalachian State men's golf team finished third at the Phoenix Invitational behind a final team round surge of 8-under-par (276) Tuesday afternoon.
The third-place finish marks the program's first back-to-back top-three finishes in tournament play since the beginning of the 2018-19 campaign. A 276 round three from the Mountaineers tied the second-lowest team round in program history.

Morehead State claimed the Phoenix Invitational team title at 17-under. App State finished 9-under (843) for the tournament after entering the day seventh overall at 1-under.
Timothius Tirto Tamardi and Jake Lane both led the Tuesday morning charge well into the afternoon by carding rounds of 68.
