MOBILE, ALA. – Appalachian State softball ends the weekend on a high note with a 2-0 shutout against the South Alabama Jaguars to take the series finale.
App State won its 15th game of the season, surpassing its number of wins from last season with eight games still remaining. With today's win, the Mountaineers have also exceeded their number of Sun Belt Conference wins in a season since joining the conference.
After the game was delayed four and a half hours due to rain, the Mountaineers battled the Jaguars through seven innings. In the top of the fourth inning, Keri White led off with a bunt for a single to touch base.
