App State Offense Shines in Back-to-Back Shutouts

BOONE, N.C. – In Friday's home opener, Appalachian State Softball shut down the North Carolina A&T Aggies in back-to-back, five-innings shutouts. The team posted an outstanding 21 hits and 27 total runs on the day.

The Mountaineers swept the Aggies to bring their overall record to 3-3. Junior Keri White batted a perfect 6-for-6 on the day with three hits in each game. Alison Durrence continues to shine with a home run and a grand slam on the day, bringing her total to four so far this season. She had four RBIs in game one and three in game two.
