Appalachian State University baseball makes its first visit to the Metrolina area in four years on Tuesday when it takes on Wake Forest at beautiful BB&T BallPark in uptown Charlotte. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
Tuesday’s game at the two-year-old home of the triple-A Charlotte Knights marks Appalachian State’s first baseball contest in the Charlotte metropolitan area since it played a three-game Southern Conference series at Davidson in 2012. It has been exactly 10 years and one day since the last time the Mountaineers played within the Queen City limits, a 4-3 loss at Charlotte on April 25, 2006.
