BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University athletics continued a new tradition on Thursday night, hosting a dinner for the 2016-17 graduating student-athletes. Sponsored through the efforts of the Former Athletes Association, the dinner and program recognized those individuals for their years of service as a Mountaineer.
App State Senior Associate A.D. Brittney Whiteside gave the welcome and Director of Athletics Doug Gillin followed with some opening remarks to lead off the dinner. Perry Hudspeth of the Former Athletes Association spoke to the group about the importance of staying connected and giving back to current and future mountaineers.
